Straw For Dogs was contacted about Max by a concerned neighbor. When we arrived we found a dog on a chain that was so short he couldn’t even get inside his dog house.
We moved his house, filled it with straw, and gave him toys. Lucky for Max, the neighbor who contacted us talked to his caretakers and received permission to bring him water and food, walk him, play with him, and bring him into her home on cold winter nights. After a few years, Max’s caretakers agreed to relinquish him to the neighbor. Many thanks to his personal rescue angel for never giving up. It truly changed the world for this sweet dog- Max and all of us at Straw For Dogs are forever grateful.
